KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 4 — Defence Minister Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi revealed today the discovery of a leak in the Armed Forces which has been disclosing military secrets to a foreign embassy in the country.Zahid (picture) did not disclose how serious the leak was but he pointed out that those responsible have been issued a warning.
The lenient action appears to suggest the leak was not intentional.
The minister said however that the ministry would not compromise on such matters.
He said he would be meeting the Prime Minister on the matter soon before revealing more details of the case.
This latest revelation follows the scandal over two F-5E jet engines that went missing in 2007.
The engines were discovered missing one year later after which a police report was lodged.
A RMAF sergeant and a company director have been charged early this month in connection with the theft.

ReplyDeleteThe ministry of defense has agreed to prolong the usage of the Malaysian MiG-29... the numbers of unit is not known but this is the best step that they could have done instead of buying new aircraft, they actually study the way the business been done... kudos to you Minister Zahid...
